Lake Placid is a village in the Adirondack Mountains. Lake Placid, along with nearby Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake, comprise what is known as the Tri-Lakes region. Lake Placid hosted the 1932 and the 1980 Winter Olympics.

Lake Placid will always hold a place in our heart because of the 1980 Olympics and the USA–USSR hockey game. Any New Yorker who was around at that moment can tell you why – we were deep in to the Cold War. We were constantly afraid of nuclear bombs being dropped on us by Russia. Dubbed as the “Miracle on Ice”, a group of American college students and amateurs upset the heavily favored Soviet national ice hockey team, 4–3, and two days later won the gold medal.

Our Lake Placid Fir scented home items is a curious mixture of wood and zest. A hint of frosted flowers and fruit as first frost hits the alpine skyline. This is a fir scent that appeals to both women and men.

We also offer other home products that highlight Lake Placid – including canvases made from vintage posters that promoted the 1932 Olympic Games that took place there.
